The botanist Sir William Jackson Hooker writes to Grey excited about Grey’s request to have him send a wardian crate of plants to Grey. Unfortunately, this transportation of plants was unsuccessful (see letter to Grey from Sir Joseph Dalton Hooker GL H39.4). He also discusses other botanical issues.
